5. Wallace Huo and Ruby Lin (married since July 2016)

Their love story is the cutest! While most actors we featured in this post courted their co-star right away, Wallace Huo admitted that he was very shy courting Ruby Lin when they first met in the filming of their 2005 drama, Sound of Colors.

So he worked up on his courage and waited for 10 years before he found guts to talk to his crush about his feelings. 😄

Second drama collaboration. Wallace Huo and Ruby Lin in The Glamorous Concubine (2011)

After "Sound of Colors" in 2005, they worked again in the costume historical drama, "The Glamorous Concubine" in 2011. They remained good friends for the next couple of years before they embarked on romance.

In her interview with Marie Claire magazine, Ruby Lin, who is three years older than Wallace, admitted she was hesitant at first to take the risk of bringing her friendship with Wallace to a whole new level.

"Friendship can be forever, but lovers can separate. If that happens, it would be hard to get back to how things were before", she said.

During their courtship period, they kept their relationship a secret – something that Ruby found to be quite difficult as she began to become self-conscious whenever they were together.

"When we were still just friends, we would have meals together all the time and would never be afraid of getting caught. But when we got together, I was afraid of getting photographed and only comfortable when there weren't a lot of people around," she said.

It was soon after they announced their relationship that Ruby finally felt relieved. They both confirmed their relationship on Weibo on May 20, 2016.

Ruby also shared how Wallace proposed to her. “When we got home (after watching a concert), there was a sudden strange smell and I saw candles on the floor. He had invited a lot of people to my house and then he proposed!” she shared.

She admitted to having been taken aback by Wallace’s romantic gesture since he’s usually “slow to warm up” and a “stiff” and “boring” person by nature, Ruby said laughing.

We are hoping these six couples will safeguard their union and remain true to their wedding vows of: "in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, through thick and thin, 'till death do us part".

Amidst the rising divorces among celebrity couples around the world, it's inspiring to hear there are still couples who manage to remain loyal to their marriage vows.

Nowadays, well, maybe due to pressure and privacy issues, Chinese drama stars never confirm their relationships in public, despite numerous sightings of them being together. The last biggest relationship reveal was that of Lu Han and Guan Xiaotong in 2017.
