K-Drama News: Park Bo Gum and IU Are Rumored To Collaborate in a New Drama

Here's the latest news in the K-Drama world, it has been rumored lately that Park Bo Gum and Lee Ji-eun, also known by her stage name, IU, will collaborate in a new Korean series, "Life".

Although no confirmation yet from both camps, it's already circulating in the drama world that the two are currently in talks to star as main leads in the new series. 

If this project will be pushed through, this would be the first time that the two K-drama stars are collaborating as main leads. They previously appeared in "The Producers", however, Park Bo Gum had only a special appearance.

IU's talent agency, EDAM, confirmed the rumor that their ward received an offer to star in "Life", however, no confirmation yet on the final decision.

But Park Bo Gum's agency, Blossom Entertainment", has said that the actor has not received the script, thus, no confirmation from their part on the rumored casting.

"Life" will be directed by Kim Won Suk, and script will be written by Im Sang Choon, the writer of hit 2017 idol drama, "Fight For My Way". 

IU's last television series was "Hotel del Luna" in 2019. She has an upcoming movie, "Dream" with Park Seo Joon, Lee Hyun Woo, Ko Chang Seok, Kim Jong Soo, and Jung Seung Kil.

Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum was last seen in "Record of Youth" in 2020. He also finished filming the movie, "Wonderland", before he enlisted in the military training in August 2020. 

Recently, he just returned home after completing his military training at the Navy Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, and at the Navy headquarters in the central city of Gyeryong.
