Thai drama real-life couple, Nadech Kugimiya and Urassaya "Yaya" Sperbund, will star in the upcoming Thai series, "The Kinnaree Conspiracy", to be aired soon on Channel 3 Thailand! It's a big-budgeted historical/romance/mystery drama, a rarely explored genre in Thai television.
The native title is ลายกินรี and it's a novel adaptation from Thai author, Pongsakorn Jindawatana. Nadech will play the role of Aok Luang (Viscount) Indra Ratchpakdee while Yaya will play the role of his love interest, Lady Lady Pudsorn. Nadech will also reunite with Diana Flipo, his co-star in the 2015 Thai drama hit, Tarm Ruk Keun Jai (marketed overseas as Finding Love).

And what's more exciting is that Nadech and Yaya will be working again with their Uncle Koji in "Rising Sun", Au Tanakorn Posayanon (also Nadech's co-star in Finding Love) but not as an actor. Au Tanakorn Posayanon will co-direct "The Kinnaree Conspiracy".

The reign of King Narai is the most prosperous during the Ayutthaya period, and the Ayutthaya kingdom has great commercial and diplomatic activities with all foreign nations, especially the west.
The kingdom has foreign immigrants, merchants, missionaries diplomats, and military personnel, and later resulted to the Ayautthaya people being oppressed by foreigners. It causes rage among the Ayutthayas.

Lady Pudsorn (Yaya Sperbund) is the beautiful daughter of a famous deceased doctor. She also inherited her father's medical knowledge.
Aok Luang Indra Ratchpakdee (Nadech Kugimiya) is a handsome aristocrat/nobleman who works as a policeman. He is responsible for the peace and safety of people in the metropolitan area.
Monsieur Robert (Chaiyapol Julien Poupart) is a handsome French guy who is close to an important French military diplomat whom King Narai borrowed from the King of France to work with.

One day, a captain of a French cargo died mysteriously. What makes it more intriguing is the fact that the captain was wearing a female sarong cloth with a Lai Kinaree (Half Human) embroidery. The Lai Kinaree is a kind of pattern that is prohibited for royal ladies in the palace.
The mysterious death leads to a frenzy investigation that unites Lady Pudsorn, Monsieur Robert, and Aok Luang Indra Ratchpakdee to work together on resolving the case.
The mysterious death paves the way to many possibilities. It may trigger a war between the Ayutthaya Kingdom and France. And may prompt the Frenchy army to invade the Ayutthaya Kingdom to resolve the death of the captain.

To resolve the case, Lady Pudsorn, Aok Luang Indra Ratchpakdee, and Monsieur Robert delve into the case deeper, involving people, many stories, and, yes many secrets, which are further woven into a deep mystery. Moreover, one of the suspects is a very powerful lady in the royal palace.
The investigation and a series of intertwined circumstances as they navigated the complex case, will lead to a rivalry between Aok Luang Indra Ratchpakdee, and Monsieur Robert in uncovering the secret, resolving the case, and in Lady Pudsorn's heart.
It's a thrilling drama to watch indeed! And the most awaited new collaboration of real-life sweethearts, Nadech and Yaya, who last worked together in the 2018 Thai drama hit, The Crown Princess.
It will be directed by Off Pongpat (director of Nakee) and co-directed by Thai actor, Au Tanakorn Posayanon. Off Pongpat was also Nadech's director in "To Me, It's Simply You" drama.

The two have been in a relationship since 2011. They starred together in more than five Thai series. They last collaborated in 2018, The Crown Princess. So this upcoming drama is an exciting treat for all Nadech and Yaya fanatics who are eagerly waiting for their new drama project.

Yaya has a new drama with Mario Maurer, Bad Romeo, and one drama with Mark Prin Suparat, Love at First Sight, which will also air soon. While Nadech just wrapped up filming, Suep Lap Mo Rabat, his second drama collaboration with Mark Prin's fiancee, Kimberly Ann Woltemas.
The Kinnaree Conspiracy will air soon! But unfortunately, could not be watched by international fans since it is a television drama in Thailand, unless it will be streamed on Netflix, VIU or VIKI.
