Good news to all "The Long Ballad" fans, this hit Chinese historical drama originally aired in 2021 will have a re-run on Taiwan's ELTA Online Television Channel beginning October 14, 2022. Two episodes will be broadcast every Monday to Friday from at 3:00 in the afternoon.
ELTA TV Channel in Taiwan is owned by ELTA Technology Co Ltd and primarily engaged in digital content. It is similar to online video streaming apps such as Tencent, Youku, and iQIYI.Â
Available series to watch are mostly Taiwanese, Chinese, and Korean dramas. They offer free viewing for selected dramas but most of their series can be watched online by VIP members.
The Long Ballad is available to watch by VIP members only at this point in time. ELTA video service is also limited to users in Taiwan and Malaysia. The Long Ballad stars Leo Wu as Ashile Sun and Dilraba Dilmurat as Li Changge. It is set against the backdrop of the Tang dynasty during its infancy period where the dynasty was threatened by the rising Ashina tribe.
The Long Ballad Plot Summary:
Sets in the year 626 during the start of the Tang dynasty, the story follows Li Changge, an imperial princess and daughter of the Crown Prince, Li Jiancheng.Â
After the massacre in the Xuanwu gate of the Eastern Palace that killed her entire family, she escapes Chang'an and moves north, while disguising herself as a man, to seek military aid from her father's remaining loyalists.
She arrives in Youzhou and asks the governor's aid to back her up in her revenge against her uncle, Li Shimin, the new Crown Prince.
Her fate intertwines with Ashile Sun, a cold general of the Ashile tribe, a nomadic royalty from the grasslands which had been waging war against the Tang empire.

Introduces himself as A'Zhun to Changge during their encounter, he disguises himself as a traveling merchant to spy on the military activities of the Tang army.Â
They eventually become friends. But a devastating war in Suzhou exposes their true identities. Changge who leads the governor's military army forces the city's surrender to the Ashile tribe. And discovers that A'Zhun, is an enemy.
He takes her as his slave with an agreement to spare the lives and means of living of the people in Suzhou. Changge forces herself to live with the Ashile tribe in the grasslands.
Intrigued with her unique bravery and war skills, Ashile Sun slowly develops feelings for her. But due to the circumstances of their situation, defending their clans, they suppress their feelings for each other.
Gradually, their opposing loyalty gave them many heartbreaking moments. As inconveniences surmount, Ashile Sun and Changge must decide whether to embrace the reality of being on opposing sides of the war or fight for their feelings.
