Breaking News: C-Drama Popular Actor Hu Ge Announces Marriage and Wife Giving Birth

So many surprising news from popular Asian drama celebrities recently! And as if Korean actor, Song Joong-ki's marriage and unborn child announcement yesterday was not enough, just today another breaking news of marriage and child revelation, this time from C-Drama! 

Hu Ge, the most eligible bachelor in the Chinese entertainment industry, and one of the most hugely popular actors from mainland China, has just announced on his weibo account today that he is already married to a non-showbiz woman. He also stated that his wife just gave birth to their first child. Ugh!

Unlike Korea's Song Joong-ki's marriage announcement, this revelation from Hu Ge is a lot surprising because we haven't heard him dating the past couple of years.

In 2021, he was link to C-Drama actress, Liu Yifei (lead of Mulan 2020), his co-star in Little Fairy, and according to rumors they were about to get married but his camp vehemently denied the news saying it was only a rumor.

Hu Ge has always been very private with his love life and he only made public his relationship once, in 2006. 

A decade has passed and we haven't heard anything about his love life. And now this announcement. Soooo shocking to say the least!

Here's what Hu Ge had posted on his weibo account today, January 31, 2023. The message is in Chinese Mandarin and we only got this English translation from Google:

"I am [now] a father, [and the] mother and daughter are safe, and I would like to announce the good news to everyone because I have been in the industry for 20 years.

Thank you for growing up with me. At this moment, I will move towards the next stage of my life with you. I hope you can give me more support and understanding. 

In the past year. It’s not easy. My wife is not a public figure. In order to let the good news of the child’s birth go smoothly. 

I hope everyone will forgive me and send a surprise for the New Year. I wish you all a safe and healthy Year of the Rabbit and all the best".

Hu Ge is now 40 years old. He was born on September 20, 1982 in Shanghai, China. He obtained a degree in Acting from Shanghai Theater Academy. Apart from a multi-awarded actor, he is also a theater actor and a singer. He sang most of the theme songs of his dramas.
