winners 36th Golden Rooster Awards

The Golden Rooster Award, China's equivalent to Hollywood's Oscar Awards, is the most prestigious award-giving body for film excellence in China. It's one of the three major film awards in mainland China, alongside the Hundred Flowers Awards and the Huabiao Awards.

Launched in 1981, the Golden Rooster Award is a national event in China sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Film Association. It was originally an award recognizing mainland China's films and talents only but starting in 2005, it included talents from Hongkong and Taiwan.
