Full List of Winners: 2023 South Korean Drama Awards for SBS, MBC, KBS

Every December, South Korea's three giant broadcasting networks: KBS, SBS, and MBC, organize their respective awarding ceremonies to recognize excellent works and performances in television series aired in a given year.

However, the award season this month is filled with grief as the South Korean drama industry mourned the death of the award-winning actor, Lee Sun-kyun, who died on December 27, 2023. Most of the winners dedicated their awards to him which made the events even more emotional.

We, at the Asian Drama News, also mourned the death of Lee Sun-kyun, who, for many years, gave us so many drama hits and amazing acting performances. He was a great loss in the drama industry indeed. May he truly rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to his family.

2023 SBS DRAMA AWARDS:

The event was held on December 29, 2023, and awarding dramas aired on the SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) TV channel. The ceremony was held at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and hosted by Shin Dong-yup for the 6th consecutive time, and Kim Yoo-jung for the third time.

2023 MBC DRAMA AWARDS

The 2023 MBC Drama Awards presented by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation took place at the MBC Media Center Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on December 30, 2023.

Kim Sung-joo hosted the award ceremony fourth year in a row, along with Park Gyu-young, in her first hosting assignment. The award ceremony was aired live on MBC, Naver Now, and YouTube.
