Taiwanese Actress Barbie Hsu Fires a Blistering Statement Against Ex-Husband Wang Xiaofei

 

The bitter feud between ex-couple, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, and Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, seems far from over as the Meteor Garden star spills out new rants on her Weibo page today, March 20, 2024, against her ex-husband.

Her statement is in response to Wang Xiaofei and his mother, Zhang Lan's never-ending attack on her on social media, accusing her of cheating and other allegations. This is despite the defamation lawsuit she filed in 2023 against Xiaofei and his mother. 

Barbie, who is known in Taiwan and mainland China by her moniker, Big S, which is also her Weibo handle, has more than 40 million followers on Weibo, China's largest and most popular social networking site. Today, she posted a blistering statement against her ex-husband and former mother-in-law.

"It's you who cheated on me in marriage, not me. After the divorce, I swiped your card several times to vent my anger, but this was allowed by your signature. The point is that I did not swipe your card to buy anything for my husband (she's referring to her second husband, DJ Koo)", she said in a post and went on to put in detail her anger.

I was angry because:

1. Zhang Lan (Wang Xiaofei's mother) spread rumors that black people beat you because of different political ideas from you. The fact is: you drank too much and pushed my sister down. You pushed me to the ground even though I was pregnant and tried to stop you. You picked up the Harry Potter Special hardcover to hit me, black people fixed you to stop hurting me, he did not beat you.

2. I received a large number of unsightly photos of you with different women during our marriage and I was deeply shocked! I understand why you are always in a hurry to fly between places (she's referring to between Taiwan and China).

3. Zhang Lan persuaded me not to divorce you. I told her the fact that you had already cheated, and she assured me that it was absolutely not the case. 

The next day, photos and links between her and Zhang Yingying (Xiaofei's alleged mistress) were released. Now in the major media, after being slapped in the face, she denied that she had known Zhang Yingying for a long time and continued to humiliate her. Barbie Hsu, who was born in October 1976, rose to stardom when she starred as San Chai in the Taiwanese drama hit, Meteor Garden, in 2001, opposite Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vanness Wu, and Ken Chu.

The drama was a smash hit and consequently opened the door for Asian dramas to be appreciated and known internationally.

She met Chinese businessman, Wang Xiaofei, in 2010, and less than two months later, they got married in November 2010. They shared two children together. But in November 2021, they announced divorce. 

Three months later, Barbie Hsu married her ex-boyfriend, DJ Koo, a South Korean rapper, believed to be in February 2022, but they announced their marriage on Instagram only in March 2022.

Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei's separation has been the media fodder for years since they often hurled accusations of cheating toward each other. 

Their tirades often reached fever pitch that in one of her posts, Wang Xiaofei commented: “I had originally still regarded you as my children’s mother. But with you lying through your teeth today, you are not fit to be the mother of my children.”

In 2023, Barbie sued Wang Xiaofei and his mother, Zhang Lan, for defamation. However, Wang Xiaofei and his mother continue spreading rumors about  Barbie. 

This latest public rant of Barbie is her way of answering all the insults she received from the mother and son.

Barbie's Controversial Statement 

There's a controversial line in Barbie Hsu's statement about “two deaths and one serious injury in a ten-year marriage.” 

An agent said the “two deaths” refer to Barbie's miscarriages, and the “serious injuries” refer to Barbie herself enduring physical "trauma" to have a child.

She suffered two miscarriages, one in 2011, and the other one in 2018. One week after the miscarriage, she and Wang Xiaofei participated in the variety show "Happiness Trio".
