C-Drama Announcement: Wu Lei and Zhou Yutong Confirmed First Collaboration in Just Love

Both Wu Lei and Zhou Yutong confirmed in their respective weibo accounts their first drama collaboration, Nothing But Love, also known as "Just Love". This is a modern drama and is reported to be aired late this year. So it's a short series because they just start filming this month in Shenzhen. 

Plot Summary:

Liang Youan (Zhou Yutong) is a 32-year-old career woman who undergoes struggles in her life. She moves to join a sports club as a manager. And meets Song Sanchuan (Wu Lei) a 22-year-old professional tennis player. 

The sports club and the players face challenges and difficulties but work together to build a successful professional tennis club. During this process, Liang Youan and Song Sanchuan gradually fall in love.

Liang Youan and Song Sanchuan have a 10-year-age gap in the story, but in reality, Zhou Yutong, who was born on September 21, 1994, and Wu Lei, born on December 26, 1999, have only five years age gap.

So this drama tries to age Yutong by five years. Oh me gosh!

Nothing But Love sounds like the plot of Find Yourself, a 2020 modern drama starring Song Weilong and Victoria Song. They also have 10 years age gap in the story. The only difference is that Weilong and Victoria have 12 years age gap in real life.

Nothing But You will be streamed in Tencent video late this year. And reportedly has 40 episodes. It will be directed by Cheng Chang. 

Wu Lei is a popular C-drama actor from mainland China. He has been acting since he was six years old and he debuted as a young Hu Ge in The Young Warriors, 2006. He also starred as a young Nezha with Fan Bingbing in Legend and The Heroes.

But he rose to popularity as Fei Liu in Nirvana in Fire in 2015 also with Hu Ge. His first serious role was when he portrayed Ashile Sun in the 2021 popular historical drama, The Long Ballad.

While Zhou Yutong started late in showbiz. Only made her debut in 2013. She does not have a strong fan base on the international scene. 

She only rose to popularity in 2015 for Love Weaves Through a Millennium starring Jing Boran and Zheng Shuang. Yutong portrayed a cold assassin who fell in love with Gong Ming (Jing Moran). 

Nothing But Love has a booting ceremony today in Shenzhen. The filming location was moved to Shenzhen after Shanghai went on lockdown for a month now due to the rising COVID-19 cases.
