Thai Actress Urassaya Sperbund's Diamond Engagement Ring Trends in the Jewelry Market

In June this year, Thai drama actor, Nadech Kugimiya proposed to his long-time girlfriend, fellow Thai drama star, Urassaya "Yaya" Sperbund, in Italy. On one bent knee, Nadech presented his girlfriend with an exquisite oval-shaped diamond ring that sparkles under the afternoon sun!

Since then the magnificent diamond engagement ring has trended in the jewelry market in Asia and become the most famous celebrity engagement ring this year!

So why did Yaya Sperbund's engagement ring earn the top spot as this year's most beautiful and elegant engagement ring? Well, because of its size and clarity.

The oval-shaped large diamond ring is so flawless with a brilliant sparkle and clarity. The cut is so big. which is rare among celebrity engagement rings!

According to some diamond jewelry experts, Yaya's stunning 5.5-carat diamond is estimated to have a tag price of 16 million Thai Baht or US$470,000.00! Wheew!

The ring was designed and custom-made (through Nadech's specification order) by Israeli jeweler, Ori Rafael Vechler, who moved to China in 2013 to establish a jewelry shop in Shanghai.

He is the founder of the luxury Shanghai-based jewelry brand, Gemma Fine Jewelry, which sells exquisite diamond rings and gorgeous emerald-cut sapphire rings.

It was also revealed that Nadech reached out to Vechler in 2019 to create a custom-made diamond ring for his girlfriend.

So Yaya's magnificent engagement ring is four years in the making! Amazing indeed. So far Nadech and Yaya haven't announced a specific date for their wedding but it will most likely happen in 2024. Best wishes!
